a little mad
Ten years later....who cares about ten years later? The important thing is now. Crystel and Aiden had more things to worry about now than whatever will happen ten years later. They put on their dark jackets and went to get the car. Hurryingly, they were on the expressway driving to the hospital, hoping to catch a glimpse of Shawn if he managed to wake up.
Suddenly, a lorry came into their lane and managed not to hit them at the last minute. Crystel was still screaming when Aiden jam breaked on the car and they stopped beside the road to catch their breath.
"Did you see that?", Aiden asked.
"Of course I did, I aren't blind!", Crystel said after she stopped screaming.
Both of them were knocked down by the ambulence who was called on the scene to assist the lorry driver who had suffered a heart attack.
*tu.. tu... tu.... * [the pace meter "tu"s on near to Crystel's bed in the hospital]
Nurse 1: She is such a poor thing. I mean, how lucky can you get to be hit by the ambulence?
Nurse 2: Yeah, but why would the both of them be wearing dark jacket on a rainy night standing on the road? I don't get it.
Nurse 1: Such a poor thing.. *strokes Crystel's forehead..
[Meanwhile in Djibouti, one of the worst third country in the world]
Man with a deep Djibouti-accent: Hayden, you got call from US.
Hayden : Alright, let me administer this vaccine to the girl first.
To girl: There go you, aren't you a good girl, now go out and play with the other kids and don't step on any landmines, you hear?
Hayden : Hayden here, what is it?
Woman on phone: Hayden, your brother Aidan is dead. He died in a car accident.
Hayden: What? That can't be! I mean.. but... how... what??
Woman on phone: Yes, its true. Can you come back for the funeral. Her friend Crystel is alive, but she is in a coma.
Hayden: Crystel? Oh my gosh, I will take the next trip back.
And so it is, as the saga continues....
